Our story
Great companies are grown, not built.
Cloud Cowboy exists to serve the ag industry — specifically, to help farmers succeed and prosper by supporting the people who serve them. This is why, and who.
The country
The backbone of this country is in the field, and it's carrying more than ever.
Farmers and the American ag industry are the backbone of this country. The people in the field are suffering more than ever, and it's falling on deaf ears. We think we can be part of a positive change — not by making farmers pay for more technology, but by making the companies that serve them stronger.
The work
More of the work is leaving the farm gate. The companies catching it can't grow without breaking.
Staffing a crew year-round is hard, expensive, and time-consuming. Keeping a fleet current has become a two- or three-year cycle driven by technology, not steel. So farmers hire out the work — spraying, harvesting, seeding, tillage, hauling — to companies that mostly run on phone calls, whiteboards, and memory.
US farms spent $10.1 billion on custom work and hauling in 2022, up 33% in five years. Farm revenue from doing custom work for others is up 60% since 2020. USDA's farm machinery price index is up 40% since mid-2020. Those numbers are the whole reason FieldHand exists.

The way we build
By ag, for ag.
We are not a group of engineers who don't know anything about ag. Cloud Cowboy was built by people from the industry, working closely with farmers and ag service companies to develop the solution. Founder to confirm exact wording ("hundreds of farmers and ag service companies")
We don't charge the farmer a thing. We charge the ag service company. And instead of building technology that forces farmers to adopt, we build things that put more money in farmers' pockets.
The heart
What we're here for.
Purpose
We exist to serve and strengthen the American ag community — the people who feed this country and ask for little in return.
Values
Honoring God, country, and the customer; working as hard as the people we serve; and building by ag, for ag.
Mission
Cloud Cowboy builds FieldHand, the platform that connects every acre from first quote to final settlement — through agentic AI, connected operations, and in-field service.
Vision
To move American agriculture forward — every acre, every season, every generation.
The land
We'd rather see a farm passed down than sold off.
Between 2001 and 2016, the US lost or compromised 2,000 acres of farmland and ranchland every single day (American Farmland Trust, 2022). Land in farms fell by 20 million acres between the 2017 and 2022 Censuses. We don't want to see more of it go. When the companies that serve the farmer run well, they can charge less, and the farmer gets breathing room in margins that are already tighter than they should be.
The people
Who's riding for the brand.
